Platform & Architecture
TrustRelay is an ERP-first data fabric that connects your ERP, bank rails, and evidence vault through a unified policy layer — giving finance teams a single source of truth for every payout decision.
Why Payout Infrastructure Matters
The Problem
Enterprise payout data lives in silos — ERPs, bank portals, email, spreadsheets. No single system holds the full picture of a vendor payment from request to settlement.
The Risk
Fragmented data means delayed decisions, reconciliation gaps, and audit holes. Finance teams spend days chasing status across systems while fraud signals go undetected.
How TrustRelay Solves It
The Data Fabric connects ERPs, bank rails, and an immutable evidence vault through a unified policy layer. Every payout decision flows through one orchestration plane with consistent rules and audit trails.
The Evidence
Single source of truth for payout decisions, real-time reconciliation, and a complete audit trail — from intent to settlement, every step is recorded and verifiable.
Architecture Overview
TrustRelay is built as a set of bounded services that orchestrate payout workflows end-to-end. Each service owns its domain and communicates through events, ensuring loose coupling and independent scalability.
Onboarding Service
Manages vendor onboarding lifecycle — invitations, secure sessions, document collection, KYB verification, and sanctions screening. Emits onboarding events that flow into the vendor master.
Vendor Service
Maintains vendor master data, bank account history, and verification state. Serves as the authoritative source for vendor identity and payout instructions across the platform.
Decision Engine
Evaluates payout intents against tenant policies, risk signals, and sanctions status in real time. Returns allow, hold, or reject decisions with full explainability for audit.
Reconciliation Service
Ingests bank outcome files, matches them to payout intents, and resolves settled, returned, and exception states. Drives GL export flows for downstream ERP sync.
Evidence Vault
Stores immutable snapshots of every decision, policy change, and payout outcome. Provides tamper-evident audit trails for SOC 2, SOX, and regulatory compliance.
Tenant Config Service
Manages tenant-level policies, approval thresholds, ERP mappings, and integration settings. Enables multi-tenant isolation with per-customer configuration.
The Data Fabric
The Data Fabric is the connective layer that unifies payout data across ERPs, bank rails, and internal services. It turns fragmented payment operations into a single, observable flow.
ERP Connectors
Pre-built integration packs for NetSuite, SAP, and Oracle synchronize vendor master data, payment requests, and reconciliation outcomes — no custom code required.
Bank Rail Adapters
Standardized adapters for ACH, wire, and real-time payment networks normalize bank file formats and outcome codes into a unified reconciliation model.
Policy Layer
A centralized policy engine evaluates every payout intent against configurable rules — approval thresholds, sanctions checks, risk scores, and custom business logic.
Event Bus
An event-driven backbone routes domain events across services in real time. Onboarding completions, decision outcomes, and bank settlements propagate instantly.
What You Get
Single Source of Truth
Every payout decision, vendor change, and bank outcome lives in one platform — eliminating spreadsheet reconciliation and cross-system lookups.
Real-Time Reconciliation
Bank outcome files are ingested, matched, and resolved automatically. Exceptions surface immediately instead of waiting for month-end close.
Complete Audit Trail
The Evidence Vault captures immutable snapshots at every decision point. Auditors and compliance teams get instant access to the full chain of custody.
ERP Sync
Reconciled outcomes and GL exports flow back to your ERP automatically, keeping the ledger accurate without manual journal entries.
